TWO SUMMER CARP
Two summer carp averaging around 1 lb in weight need the most care of all our stock fish and are not advised except in special cases. Two summer carp are very much susceptible to both pike and cormorants and that should be taken into consideration when stocking them. We strongly advise two summer carp not to be stocked into lakes with bigger carp as they are susceptible to stress from being bullied by the larger carp and then go down with bacterial infections. Two summer fish need to be stocked into carp free lakes to grow on.
These 3 inch to 4 inch carp in 8 months quickly reach 1 lb in weight.

THREE SUMMER CARP
An excellent size fish at between 4 lb and 6 lb to stock into waters where you need a large introduction at the most economical price possible. In the right waters three summer fish will double in weight in their first summer in fishery’s. A word of warning very large pike in waters with little predatory food will damage three summer fish but this is very rare.
We also do a smaller three summer fish at 2 lb 8 oz to 4 lb for match fisheries and for specialist fisheries where they will more than double in their first year.

FOUR SUMMER CARP
Without doubt our best selling carp at between 8 lb and 12 lb and ideal to be stocked into most situations. The majority of our 50 lb plus carp have been stocked out at this size. An ideal fish to introduce on a regular basis to top up existing stock or to stock into a new fishery. In the right waters four summer carp will put on 3 lb to 4 lb in their first summer although in 2014 we had numerous reports of four summer fish putting on up to 7 lb in their first year after stoking. We grow 2000 four summer fish a year which are from an original 500,000 fry making every four summer fish we sell 1 in 250 special.

FIVE SUMMER CARP
Now you are talking about getting to the cream of the crop. We grow on 500 fish a year to five summers and a size of 15 lb to 17 lb making them one in a thousand special. Basically 1000 fish have been rejected in the process of getting every one of our five summer fish and that’s what makes them so special. The bigger you stock carp the longer they take to settle in and start growing and most five summer fish do 2 lb to 3 lb in their first year after stocking.
Magnificent four summer fish being stocked out at 12 lb to 14 lb that will be available as five summer fish.

SIX SUMMER PLUS CARP
We grow the very best looking and best shaped five summer carp to go on to be six summer plus carp and potentially these fish are the ultimate stockies for those needing a few target fish or when setting up a new fishery. Please be absolutely clear when stocking 20 lb carp in most cases they can take a year or even 2 years to settle in and start growing but ultimately they have the potential to be the very biggest of our carp. If they hold their weight they are stocked at for their first year they have done well.
